A transformative runway and makeover event for breast cancer survivors.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower women who have faced the challenges of breast cancer by providing them with an opportunity to rediscover and reclaim their identities through a transformative makeover and runway show. Beauty in Bloom aims to alleviate the burden of redefining personal style and self-expression by reconnecting women with their inherent beauty both inside and out.

The Cause
Despite the tendency to dismiss beauty as mere vanity, we firmly believe that beauty practices hold the potential to positively impact mental health and well-being.
According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), 1 out of 4 people diagnosed with breast cancer experience depression. A breast cancer diagnosis often triggers a range of emotional challenges, including depression, anxiety, and distress.
Treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery can lead to significant physical changes, causing psychological distress and a sense of loss of femininity. These changes, affecting hair, nails, and skin, often contribute to issues with body image and confidence.
Through our event, we aim to address these challenges by promoting self-care and self-expression through various fashion and art forms to alleviate the burden of redefining personal style and reinforcing a positive self-image.
The Beauty Experience
Beauty in Bloom is a two-day event commencing with The Beauty Experience, a full day makeover and photoshoot for our Blooming Beauties. Our ladies are guiding by hairstylists, makeup artists and wardrobe stylists to hone in on their personal style.
The RUNWAY SHOW
Following their makeovers, participants will WERK their new looks on the runway. Under the guidance of an esteemed runway coach, participants receive personalized runway training before they grace the stage.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re planning another Beauty in Bloom event this October—this time in the form of a photo exhibition instead of a runway show. We need your help to make it happen!

Every dollar directly supports the heart of our mission.
Donations go toward:
Securing a venue for our makeover photoshoot and community exhibition
Providing beauty products and wardrobe for our participants
Covering essential event needs like production, crew meals, and equipment rentals
To give you a clearer picture:
Last year, we spent over $5,000 on venue and equipment rentals
Nearly $2,000 went toward production expenses
We spent $1,500 to feed our hardworking volunteer crew
And $1,300 to fairly compensate our small but mighty team
These numbers don’t even include the cost of hair, makeup, and wardrobe for our participants. Your support makes this possible. Whether it’s $10 or $1,000, every contribution helps us uplift and empower the women at the center of Beauty in Bloom.

Meet the ladies of beauty in bloom
It was an honor to strut down the runway with these beautiful, strong, and powerful women. Being diagnosed with breast cancer at 25 changed the trajectory of my life. You hear cancer and think about all the loss- loss of hair, loss of good health, loss of your former self. But cancer is not always a death sentence and surviving is worth celebrating. So I walked, not just for myself, but for all the women I know who have fought and will continue to fight this disease. We are all worthy of more life and I vow to live each new day in full bloom.

Going through a cancer diagnosis, so much of your identity changes, from the way you look to the way you feel. That's why I enjoyed being a part of this event so much, it allowed us to feel beautiful from the inside and out and embrace ourselves as we are. Last month, I had the incredible honor of participating in the Beauty in Bloom runway show. After over a year of breast cancer treatment and multiple surgeries, I decided to take a leap of faith and embrace something entirely new. During the past year, as I focused on fighting for my life, I often lost sight of the amazing qualities that define who I am.
